ABOUT US
• A projected image of the future Town of Taylor •
The intended Town of Taylor, will be founded in 2028 as a self-sufficient Tudor style town. First, and foremost, Taylor will be a community of history enthusiasts that have come together to live a life in a time forgotten. Set in a time in history that experienced both change and custom, Taylor has no specific date or country, incorporating anything present in Europe during the 16th century.
Why a TOWN called TAYLOR?
Between the Medieval and Renaissance periods, travel from city to city took days, and a traveler had two choices; Sleep on the dirty road, risking being robbed by bandits that ran rampant, or pay a small coin to the tiny town on the roadside for a nights stay in the inn. Travelers could restock on supplies, and barter with the merchants in the small thorpe. This is the scene you will experience when you stay or visit Taylor.
Every shoppe in Taylor is owned by the individual(s) running it, while resident time is shared for co-op style farming duties.
Non-resident merchants are welcome as well, and are present throughout the year in Merchant Square.
Our self-sustained Tudor community is open to visitors
every day of the year.
(Visiting hours, for those not staying overnight at the Belladonna Inn or in one of our other accomodations, are from sunrise to just after sunset.)
Location: Less than 1.5 hours from Portland, Oregon,
and 3 hours from Seattle, Washington.
THE ENTIRE TOWN AND ALL SHOPPES ARE
OPEN YEAR ROUND,
AS WELL AS THE BELLADONNA INN.
CABINS ARE ALSO AVAILABLE FOR RENT AT ANY TIME.
Upon reaching Taylor, visitors will be directed to park at a nearby farm, where they will be picked up by our carriage that runs twice hourly. Once the entrance fee is payed, a rental of period garb will be offered to those that do not own period clothing. An 'Immersion Agreement' must be signed by each visitor, establishing that no modern electronics or clothing will be used in 'public' view. (Discreet photography is permitted) Games on site, food freshly made, and vendors selling crafts defying the imagination.
Come spend a wonderful day, a weekend, or a week(s) vacation at the Belladonna Inn, in a log cabin, or in one of our spacious pavillion tents surrounded by pristine forests and orchards.
